Organizer is an independent product, built and run by one developer rather than a venture-funded team. That shapes the whole thing: it is paid for by the people who use it, not by advertising, and it is built for daily use rather than for a demo.

Why it exists

Most people open a new browser tab dozens of times a day and get a blank page or a search box. At the same time their work is spread across a task app, a calendar, a notes app, a folder of documents and a browser full of bookmarks. Organizer puts those in the same place: the tab that is already in front of you. Nothing here is novel on its own. Having it all one keystroke away is the point.

How it is built

Organizer is a Chrome extension and a web app sharing one codebase, so the new tab and organizer.devadvent.com behave identically and sync to each other. The front end is React. The backend runs on Vercel with a Supabase Postgres database and private file storage. Sync moves only what changed rather than re-uploading your workspace. AI answers are generated by Claude over content you have indexed yourself.

How it is funded

Subscriptions, and nothing else. There are no ads, no trackers that follow you between sites, and no selling of personal data. The free plan is genuinely usable rather than a countdown to a paywall, and Premium pays for the storage, sync and AI that cost real money to run. Payments are handled by Paddle as merchant of record, with PayPal and Razorpay available for yearly plans.

Principles

Local first: the app works with no account, and your data stays on your device until you choose to sync it.
No ads and no data sales, on any plan.
Your content is exportable: CSV, Markdown, HTML, PDF and original files.
Deleting means deleting: email support and your account and server-side data go.
The free plan stays useful, and it is not a trial.
