GitHub issues and pull requests as tasks

GitHub notifications are a feed, and feeds are where work goes to be forgotten. A review request you scroll past at 4pm is gone by morning. Organizer turns the things actually assigned to you into cards on a board that does not scroll away.

What gets captured

Captured, not duplicated

Every captured task records where it came from: the source, the app and the original URL. Your board keeps a from filter, so you can type a source into the search box and see only GitHub work, or exclude it while you focus on something else. The card links back to GitHub, which stays the place the actual discussion happens.

Sign in with GitHub too

GitHub is also one of the ways to sign in to Organizer, alongside Google. Signing in is what turns on sync across your devices; it is separate from the capture integration, and you can use either without the other.

Other ways work arrives

GitHub auto-capture is one of several capture routes. You can also send or forward an email to your own Organizer address and have it become a task with its attachments imported, save the page you are on from the extension popup, right-click any selection and send it to a board, or post tasks from a script using a capture token.

Scope and limits

• GitHub auto-capture is a Premium feature, configured under Settings then Integrations, and also reachable from the Capture tab.
• Organizer reads the pull requests, issues and mentions the capture needs, using the authorisation you grant on GitHub.
• Disconnecting stops new captures and leaves existing tasks on your board.
• Captured tasks are ordinary tasks: schedule them, prioritise them, attach documents, or archive them like anything else.
